What We Are About...

Hello Everyone,

My name is Logan Carmichael, or Red Beard as a lot of you may know me by, and every year, myself, Keno and others that we pick up along the way, take a 2 week long motorcycle trip around the U.S., leading up to Memorial Weekend.  This year will be our 9th year making the trip around the Nation.  Keno and myself have traveled all over this country, all of the lower 48 to be exact, and have probably close to 100,000 miles riding side by side with each other.  We've experienced tornadoes, blizzards, monsoons, sand storms, hail and even the occasional wreck, but we always persevere through the worst and make the ride, it just makes for more interesting stories in the end!!  Every year we do this trip, we choose a different route and every year, it is always an adventure!!!  Well, this years adventure, we are doing something a little different.  We are doing the ride as a "Ride-a-Thon", similar to that of a Walk-a-Thon, but on motorcycles and looking to y'all to help make it a success!!

Goal...

Our goal is to raise money during our ride across this great nation and to make a donation from the "Iron Order Motorcycle Club" to an organization that is geared towards helping Veteran's.  The organization that we will be donating to is "K9's for Warriors".

K9's for Warriors is a non-profit organization that rescues dogs and then turns around and trains them to become service dogs for Veterans in need.  Being a Veteran myself, and knowing many others that have service dogs, it means a lot to me knowing that there are organizations, such as K9's for Warriors, out there helping Veterans!!

How It's Going To Work...

Our rides are typically anywhere from 5,000-10,000 miles in the 11 days that we ride.  There is a form down below that "sponsors" or "donors" can fill out that has different donation options to choose from.  For example, for every 100 miles that we ride, a donation of a specified amount will be donated by you.  So, lets say we ride 7,000 miles and you chose the option to donate $1/100 miles, your total donation amount would be $70, due at the end of the ride once total miles are tallied.  There is also a section to make a one time donation as well.  At the end of the ride, I will send out notifications to your contact email provided on the form when you fill it out, along with the total miles rode on the trip, pictures of start and stop points, odometer readings, and the amount of the donation due.  This is our first time doing this, so I'm sure there will be a few bumps along the way, but in the end, it'll hopefully help those in need!!

If you have any questions, feel free to contact me via the contact info at the bottom of the page!!
